All Apple Let Loose Event reveals: OLED iPad Pro, iPad Air 6, & more

The Apple Let Loose event has revealed many new products and apps. Here’s a rundown of every reveal from the keynote, including iPads, new apps, and more.

It was on May 7 when Apple finally introduced the first-ever OLED iPad Pro to the world that packs a punch with top-of-the-line hardware. We also got to see a refreshed iPad Air that comes in two sizes, which will be a perfect fit for students and small business owners.

That’s not all as the new Apple Pencil Pro is here. This new device may look like its previous generations but has been equipped with haptic feedback for the first time ever.

Apple revealed some more products during their Let Loose Event on May 7, and here’s everything you need to know about them.

The first device Apple revealed during the event was the iPad Air 6. Unlike other times, the iPad Air 6 will come in two screen sizes: 11-inch and 13-inch. It has 8GB of RAM inside and when it comes to storage space, it starts with 128GB. However, you also get higher storage options like 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

It’s powered by the M2 chip, the same CPU that powers the previous generation of iPad Pros. The new iPad Airs coming installed with the M2 chip means it will get a 50% boost in performance over the M1-powered tablets from the last gen and 3 times faster than iPad Airs with A12 Bionic chip.

The front camera orientation has been changed in the iPad Air 6. This time, it’s 12MP and is placed on one of the landscape bezels, which is ideal and matches the camera position of Macbook Air and Macbook Pro.

The back camera is also 12MP and the iPad Air 6 comes in four colors: Blue, Purple, Space Gray, and Starlight.

The Apple Let Loose Event finally introduced the Apple Pencil Pro, a much-needed upgrade over the previous Pencils.

As a starter, the Apple Pencil Pro has haptic feedback functions. Compared to the previous generations, latency between the Pencil and iPad will be much lower, boasting “Pixel-perfect precision.”

You can double tap the Pencil or ‘squeeze’ it to activate certain sensors like the gyroscope to rotate or change the orientation of objects on the screen the exact way you’re moving the pencil.

We also got to see an upgraded Magic Keyboard during the Apple Let Loose Event on May 7. This time, it comes with a USB-C port on the left-hand side of the knob and is available in two sizes: 11-inch ($299) and 13-inch ($349)

Apple says the experience of new Magic Keyboard is very similar to how it is on Macbooks. The case is made of aluminium while the trackpad is also larger this time around.

While these product reveals have been great for the consumer base, the upcoming iPhone SE 4 price leak is greater news for budget users.
