iPhone 16 is only a few days away from launch and it will be packed with features. But should you wait for it or go with the iPhone 15 instead?
The tech giant has huge plans with its Apple Intelligence project. Although they have entered the market later than other competitors, their implementation is bound to set new standards.
iPhone 16 will have all those features advertised, with some improvements too over the iPhone 15. If you’re wondering whether you should wait for the iPhone 16 or buy the previous model instead, we got you covered.
Is iPhone 16 worth waiting for?
In short, the iPhone 16 is worth waiting for if:
- You are using an old model like the iPhone 11, 12, or even 13 series. In that case, it will make sense upgrading to the 2024 model.
- If you have used Android all your life and this will be your first iPhone purchase, then definitely.
Let me share a personal experience here. I’ve been an Android user all my life and the iPhone 15 Pro was my first Apple device in December 2023. I went with the Natural Titanium color, and it’s been so good so far.
I like how the phone feels in my hand, I absolutely love how snappy and smooth the entire UI is, and the camera quality is the best I’ve seen on any smartphone. Yes, some people would suggest Google’s Pixel series is another option, but that’s not my point here.
I had two purposes while buying my iPhone 15 Pro – content creation for iPhoneINTEL and clicking good photos. I’ll continue using this one to provide firsthand experience for all of you reading this article right now.
If you have similar ambitions, then go ahead and buy the upcoming series in September 2024.
When is it not worth waiting for?
If you’re using an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, 15, or even the 15 Pro, then you can wait a little longer.
In that case, it will be better if you skip it for the iPhone 17. Several leaks and rumors say that the iPhone 17 will most likely feature a slimmer variant with a bigger display, so that could be something new for you to try in 2025.
Will iPhone 16 be a big upgrade?
The upcoming iPhone lineup won’t be a big upgrade, at least in comparison to the iPhone 15.
Apple will implement some minor changes in terms of design, camera layout, slight increase in battery capacities. Yes, you will see some new colors, and maybe slightly faster charging too.
However, those won’t be enough to justify upgrading from the iPhone 15. It would be better if you go ahead and purchase the iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max instead, especially if you are still using the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro.
