Using Bluetooth 5.0 adapter
The ideal way to connect AirPods to your PS5 is using a third-party wireless adapter with Bluetooth 5.0 support. That’s because AirPods rely on Bluetooth 5.0 technology.
For a closely-knit ecosystem like Sony’s consoles, you should use a Bluetooth 5.0 adapter, especially if you want to connect multiple devices – like a pair of headphones and mic separately.
To connect AirPods to your PS5 using Bluetooth 5.0 adapter, simply:
- Plug in the adapter to either of the front or back USB ports of your PS5.

- Pair it with your Bluetooth adapter. Once the white pairing light stops blinking and it becomes stable, it means you’ve successfully connected your AirPods to the console.
